OVEN & STOVE ISSUES

WILL NOT IGNITE

If an electric stove does not turn on, first check if the stove is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You need to check the pilot light for gas models. If the oven power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is lit, it means another part will need to be repaired. The reason for the issue could be an surface element, infinite switch, burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A stove or burner that doesn’t produce heat will not do much good. Your oven doesn’t heat if there is a broken bake element or a malfunctioning oven sensor. A burner does not fire up when an element is broken or the burner switch or the terminal block do not work. We are able to troubleshoot and repair these issues in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

You can assume the control board on a stove or oven is broken when the timer or program settings don’t work. In this case, we are able to repair control panels for Sears, GE, LG, Kenmore, KitchenAid and many other brands of stoves, ovens and ranges. We provide a warranty on all of the control boards and manufacturer replacement parts we need for this type of oven repair service.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always want a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is out of control, it could be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our technicians know how to diagnose the location of the issue and then fix it. But be careful when troubleshooting this issue for fear of skin burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER WON’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter glows but it does not light. The cause is sometimes from a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or sensor. We are able to determine if we can fix these parts or if we will need to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning ovens can experience door problems. The door won’t open after the cleaning cycle. We monitor the door closure, seal and thermostat to troubleshoot why the door doesn’t open up and then we complete the necessary repair so we can put an end to the issue.
